is not meant to be replacing the original texture but more of a "shell" on top of the original one. thats why it flashes. either live with it or use the default color.
also the install instructions have already been posted.
ppl should get off their asses use the search function and stop filling the thread with useless posts asking for the same thing over and over making it dificult to find determinate mods.

same here i have the same problem where shold i put the .obj?Guys, just wanted to ask, when I have downloaded a paint mod in obj format, which folder do i put it into in my airrivals directory. When i put it in res obj it shows up on select screen but crashes when I click on it and when I put it in Res Eff nothing changes? what do i do
its been answered a couple of pages behind

Some1 plz fix the armor color glitches.
I dont like my rigid defender flashing black/red all the time![]()
When i put the file wich is supposed to be in ur res-eff folder in res-obj i dont get flashes,
but then the shade of my armor turns into the image of the .jpg file wich i've edited.
And then the game crashes in > 5 seconds
fix it!!

anyway:LD recolor request on my zerk modLINK
anothe zerk mod i did ages ago, similar to the original zerk but all new textures and blue colored. might do recolours depending on the feedback.LINK
all ppl having problems with tims repacker might want to try this: Res-X Resource Editor
@iWest: it could be easier to help you if you post what steps are you following since i believe the post i pointed at you was kinda clear to understand(ok it took me a while since i never used moose's objectinfo patcher before but yeah the steps are quite straight foward)
